Well, the first single is here! ‘Above The Earth’ by the Wharfechild Collective has been shoved out of the door in ones and zeros for you to fire up. It’s available here on the site, on Bandcamp, and on limited streaming sites (no Amazon and no Spotify). A very special 7” physical version will be announced soon.

Sticking with our mandate, “INTENTIONAL, SMALL, SLOW & HANDMADE”, we’ve got some great small-run physical art-collaborations being assembled. They will include hand art, music and the written word; things to hang on the wall or on yourself. And there will be a lot more music too, including the special limited edition 7” singles that are pieces of art in themselves.

This first project, the Wharfechild Collective, has much more noise to share that Justin Guip and I, along with our collaborators, have been impatiently sitting on. It features some great great guests. Plus, the Wharfechild Recording Co has other surprise releases we’re working on the finishing touches for as I type this. There are new little sparks happening from the Hudson Valley to the Los Angeles basin and, as my dear old compatriot Frank Lee Drennen of Dead Rock West is fond of saying, “…we are a ‘can do’ outfit…”, so soon you and us; we’ll get to share those sparks together.

After spending YEARS shaping this idea of the Wharfechild Art House, we are incredibly excited to have FINALY taken our first wobbly steps. We have a long way to grow, moving slow, slow, slow with that “Slow Magic”. But with you involved it’s going to get very interesting. This is your conversation too.
