‘Above The Earth’

Well, here it finally is! It’s been a long time coming here at WC HQ, but we can now announce that ‘Above The Earth’, the first single from The (Wharfechild) Collective, is released today, February 6th! It includes contributions from very special friends and guests Val McCallum and Cindy Wasserman.

Only available on Bandcamp and select streaming services*,..for now.

‘Above The Earth’ was recorded last year during a series of sessions at Milan Hill Studios, NY. I say sessions, but the way that Justin Guip and Patrick Michael Dennis tell it, it was more like a play date in a sandbox, little kids passing instrument duties around, moving fast, with intention, few boundaries, and serious laughter. A lot of laughter. And them ending up with more music than they remember recording.

With the added gift of having Cindy Wasserman of Dead Rock West dueting with Patrick (live in one take apparently) and Val McCallum’s (of Jackson Brown and Jack Shit fame) soaring slide guitar and atmospheric work, we couldn’t be more excited about this being the first from The (WC) Collective.
