Celebrating the release of our first double A-side single from ‘The (Wharfechild) Collective’, and the launch of the Wharfechild Gallery we collaborated with Patrick Michael Dennis (one of our wierdo founders) to bring you this special series.

‘Above The Earth’, the first single from The (Wharfechild) Collective, is released today, February 6th! It includes contributions from very special friends and guests Val McCallum and Cindy Wasserman.
This piece was inspired by new life. In all its joy and wonder. Amazing how it just happens. Beyond anything we can understand. Clay, stardust and spirit. She’s a firecracker.
SINGLES PAINTING is Acrylic on Raw Linen over 4”x4” board. Designed to be pulled out like a 45rpm single, complete with a cut out for viewing the inside “label” painting. Includes a board mount for table top display and a Red-string wall hanging “hook”. It comes in a hand silkscreened and scribbled 7” heavy card-stock single sleeve, named, numbered and including a certificate of stamped authenticity.

This piece was inspired by the words of Black Elk, the great Oglala LakotaHoly Man and poetic inspiration. A book written from interviews with him, ‘Black Elk Speaks’ was a deep influence since my teen years and a heavy influence on both of the writers in Truckee Brothers in the 2000 Oughts. This piece says much to me about deep joy, pain, love, loss, living and the profound majesty and depth that the original indigenous peoples of the American Continent continue to carry like a lamp if we are willing to see it.

Ok, this is a pre-sale for our first ever Art Package 7” Single. A very special Hand Made Art Package Double A-Side single on our first 7” vinyl! And only 25 will ever be made like this. Featuring the first two single releases by the Wharfechild Collective, ‘Above The Earth’ b/w ‘Peaceful Rain’.
Each piece will be hand-screen printed and painted. Each sleeve will be unique, with variations in each one. Art will be designed and printed by Patrick Dennis.
Each vinyl record will be in protective anti-static inner-sleeve, including stamped liner notes and WCZINEno01 included. Enclosed in protective poly bags. All hand assembled, numbered and signed. Pressed by American Vinyl in Asheville NC.
